I ended up interning with a production team called The Stereotypes and working at a barbecue restaurant until I got a call from Paramount in 2014 and was hired as a runner. My greatest mentors there were Victor Luvanos, who is now Dr. Dre is, and Randy Urbanski, who works with a lot of big producers [Afrojack, Skrillex, Kanye]. Both gave me a lot of insight into dealing with clients/artists, microphone and signal chain techniques and the use of SSL.” In September 2017, Metro Boomin offered Stevens a job as his permanent sound engineer and mixer and he has been there ever since. Stevens is also an engineer and mixer for other artists such as Gunna, Future, 21 Savage and Offset.
