The strong Belgium team will be hoping for a successful start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup when they take on Egypt in Seattle on Monday evening.
The two Group G favorites will face off in the first group game, while Iran and New Zealand take the field at 4am the next morning.
Belgium went through qualifying undefeated – five wins and three draws, with only Norway scoring more goals than Belgium. They come into this game ranked ninth in the world and are confident of a positive result here.
They face an Egyptian team that has never won a FIFA World Cup game in its history. Although they are a force to be reckoned with on the African stage, they are finding it particularly difficult to achieve success on the global front.
This will be Egypt’s fourth appearance at a World Cup finals and they will look to bounce back from the tournament’s poor performances. Only Honduras has played more games than Egypt without registering a win in the competition.
A win is not impossible for the Pharaohs, but it will be very difficult against a Belgian team that has shown how dangerous it can be with its new generation of players. This is Belgium’s 15th World Cup appearance, the most by a European nation that has never won the title.
However, Belgium have only lost one of their last 15 group stage games, which should boost their confidence ahead of kick-off. Can the Egyptians compete here at least up to a point? We take a look at both teams’ form and announce our predicted result.

News about the Belgium vs. Egypt team
Veteran Kevin de Bruyne will play his final World Cup, starting here after scoring in the final friendly against Tunisia.
Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans and his Premier League colleague Amadou Onana have formed a great bond in midfield and will retain their places in the starting XI.
Despite scoring against Tunisia, Charles de Ketaleare will probably be content with a place on the bench in the final third. Experienced striker and all-time leading goalscorer Romelu Lukaku will lead the Red Devils’ attack line.
Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku impressed with four goals in qualifying and will start opposite Leandro Trossard.
The Egyptians also have a few experienced players who will take the field for the last time, most notably Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool legend will be a key figure in the Egyptian attack as they look to progress through the group stages.

City’s Omar Marmoush and Trezeguet are both fit and the duo are also expected to start.
The rest of the team will remain unchanged from the starting eleven that started in the last friendly against Brazil.
Head-to-head between Belgium and Egypt and current form
The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last 13 games before the tournament, making them favorites to continue their remarkable run here. They go into the game aiming for their third win in a row, having recently beaten Tunisia 5-0.

The Pharaohs suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against Brazil, their second defeat in their last five games. They won twice in that run, sharing the spoils in a commendable, tenuous draw against Spain.
However, Egypt was the better team in direct duels and won three of the four games it played against Belgium in its history. The last game in 2022 ended with a 2-1 win for Egypt.
Current form:
Belgium – WWDWW
Egypt – LWDWL

Belgium vs Egypt prediction
Their head-to-head record is unlikely to matter in this game, as Belgium boasts a better record on paper and a more star-studded team. Their current form should be enough to get a positive result to start their campaign.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
